| for no other reason than the heat reduction purposes. Who knows how much the harnesses and other plastics in the engine bay will have their lives prolonged. As for spool, I must say to date I have not had my Z 100% running perfect yet, although when my issues were simply driveline vibration and the large manifold boost leak, I still was seeing spool up well below 3k rpm. Call and ask if they still offer that particular coating, also FYI you have to disassemble the turbo yourself and send/deliver the turbine housing, they don't accept assembled turbos IIRC. I couldnt get my turbine housings coated because I snapped off a downpipe bolt inside of one and then snapped off an "easy"-out inside of the broken bolt, so it was in a machine shop getting fixed while the manis got coated. I couldnt see spending thousands of dollars on manifolds and turbos (plus 3" exhaust increasing spool response) and not going that last step to max it out with thermal barrier coatings prior to install. I know most dont, but the benefits just seem to good to pass up, even if they aren't primarily seat-of-the-pants appreciable.
"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of "liberalism", they will adopt every principle of our socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without ever knowing how it happened....
